Some of my favorite tech tools we have used in the classroom this year are edmodo, quizlet, remind101, and google docs.  Through edmodo we are able to get assignments and work on them through our iPads and when we do complete our assignments we are able to get feedback quickly.  Quizlet and Google docs I use to study for tests and quizzes and I have found studying a lot easier  to do this year.  Remind101 has been useful not only in the classroom, but for events out of school as well.  I know when practice/games are cancelled and when my next test is.  All of these tools I have found to be very useful this school year.  

Social media has changed the entire world around us and has become an everyday thing.  That alone should be a good enough reason why schools should #teachnotblock using social media.  This year at NVAS has been completely different than other years.  Classrooms seem to be quieter and students are able to complete projects and work using social media.  With the long crazy winter we had, cancellations were quite often.  Using social media students were able to find out quickly if they had school or not.  Most of  my teachers are using edmodo to distribute work through the app on our iPads so we can now get our work done and get feed back immediatly. Overall I believe social media is good for schools.

As a student in a generation where learning ANYTHING can be done right at the fingertips of my smartphone or iPad, it makes learning a lot more interesting. It also makes it a lot easier to get help with almost anything you are having problems with.  I believe that the kids that are in our generation will accomplish more than any other generation before us. Learning anything anywhere will improve the world around us.

I believe the 20% time project is great for businesses. Workers can try to create something with their projects to make life easier for them and the people around them.  This makes the company better as a whole and many good things come from it.  Everyday people are using their free time to work on projects that could be useful to everyone. If companies gave their employees time to work on them they would make them happier and get more production out of them. Right now I don't have something to work on passionately, so I do not really want to do something like this in class right now. 

Spring training has started up and baseball season is coming. The snow is starting to melt away and the days are getting longer. As a life long tigers fan, I cannot wait to season how this years team is going to do. I also cannot wait for our baseball season to start here at NHS. My team and I have high hopes as well as the Detroit Tigers in hopes to win a championship.  So I hope that the tigers and us complete all our goals and win as many games as we can.

After reading the article, I believe that taking technology courses is very important.  I myself take most of the technology classes our school offers.  Even if you do not like technology I believe it is important to take these classes. If you have no experience with technology you will have a hard time keeping up with today's world. We use technology for a lot of things and if you don't know what you are doing, you will have a hard time finding a high paying job. I encourage any student to take technology classes in  high school. 

Today we have many ways to cure diseases and disabilities. Everyday scientists come up with new ways to cure many medical problems people have. Today we learned about how scientists are having robotic limbs read brain waves to do the same movements regular human limbs can.  People can do all the things they used just by thinking them.  Although we are still figuring things out, I believe one day we will be able to cure just about any disease/disability. 

I believe that khan academy is a great learning tool for students all over the world.  It will help any students struggling in their classes possibly find it easier to learn in khan academy.  Not only will it help students, but it will help teachers. Teachers can direct kids that have trouble in their class to videos like kahn academy to get additional help.  Kahn and websites like kahn academy make it possible to learn anything, any place, at any time.

Have you ever taken the path of least resistance due to something being to hard or challenging?  Though we probably shouldn't, It does happen from time to time.  There are kids all over the world who want to learn and succeed that you have to compete with one day.  So are you going to take the easier path or the less travelled path that is harder and more challenging?  Even though I myself have taken the easy path from time to time, I will continue to work hard and try to become the best person I can.
